For churches, ministries, associations and nonprofits

Your people have books in them.
Give them a publishing house.

Pastors with sermon series, missionaries with stories, members with expertise and memories. When an organisation's people want to write, an imprint of its own gives their books a home, carries its name to new readers, and can raise money for its work.

The short version

Your own publishing company, under your own name. An AI agent does the production and the paperwork. You make the decisions and keep the profit.

The problem

Publishing other people's books is a business

The moment you publish books by more than one author, you need contracts, royalty statements, tax forms and someone to answer authors' questions.

Production is the easy part to underestimate: proofreading, covers, ebook and print formatting, ISBNs, metadata and store accounts for every title.

Few organisations have a staff member who can take that on, so the books never get written.

The answer

What your agent takes on

  • Every book is published under your organisation's own imprint, using ISBNs you own.
  • Your agent proofreads, designs covers, formats the ebook and paperback and distributes them through your own IngramSpark and optional KDP accounts. All of it is included in your plan.
  • Order printed copies for events, bookstalls and giveaways through your own IngramSpark account.
  • Each author gets a portal with their book's progress, files and royalty statements. Royalties follow the contract you set with each author, including donating them to your work.
  • Members still at the idea stage can turn their own notes, talks or recordings into a draft with BookBud or ConceptsOfABook.
An example

A church that publishes four books a year by its pastors and members needs only the Starter plan. Your only per-book costs are the ISBN and an optional printed proof.

A good fit

Organisations whose people will write several books, so there are authors to look after.

Probably not for you

An organisation publishing only a few books of its own, with no other authors, does not need a publishing house. BookBud and SelfPublishing.pro will serve it better and cost far less. Visit SelfPublishing.pro.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. Your agent knows the formats, store rules and paperwork. Someone in your organisation approves decisions; a typical day's decisions take a few minutes.

Your organisation does. Your imprint is the publisher of record, the store accounts are in its name, and your author agreements are between you and your authors.

Royalties follow the contract you agree with each author, so an author can choose to direct them to your organisation. Your agent applies whatever the contract says.
