For book coaches

Your clients finish their books with you.
Publish them too.

Today, the moment a client's manuscript is done, they leave to pay a publishing service. With your own imprint they stay. You publish the book under your press's name, your agent does the production work, and the publishing fee is yours.

The short version

Your own publishing company, under your own name. An AI agent does the production and the paperwork. You make the decisions and keep the profit.

Plans from$99 a month
Publishing a finished manuscriptIncluded
Founding setup$500, not $1,500
The problem

The best part of the relationship ends at the finished manuscript

You spend months helping a client find their book. Then the client hands it, and the publishing fee, to someone they met last week.

Running a press yourself has always meant learning trim sizes, ISBNs, distributor accounts, royalty statements and tax forms. That is a second job, and not the one you love.

So most coaches refer clients out and lose touch with them just as the book reaches readers.

The answer

What changes with your own imprint

  • Your client's book is published under your press, with your name on the spine and the website.
  • Your agent proofreads and copyedits the finished manuscript (tracked changes the author accepts or rejects), designs the cover, formats the ebook and paperback and distributes them through your own IngramSpark and optional KDP accounts.
  • Publishing a finished manuscript is included in your plan, so the package price you set is yours. Your only per-book costs are the ISBN and, if you want one, a printed proof.
  • Clients who are still at the idea stage can build a draft from their own notes and recordings with BookBud or ConceptsOfABook, and you earn affiliate commission.
  • Royalty statements, W-9 and W-8BEN collection and year-end tax forms are prepared for you.
An example

A coach who publishes two clients a month at a $1,495 package, on the Starter plan, keeps roughly $2,700 a month after ISBNs, proofs and the plan fee. Use the calculator on the main page to try your own numbers.

A good fit

Coaches who already see several clients a year through to a finished manuscript.

Probably not for you

Coaches whose clients mostly want a big traditional publisher. An imprint is the alternative to that path, not a route into it.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. It is simply an option you can now offer. Many clients would rather stay with the person who helped them write the book than start again with a stranger.

They will know they are working with your press. Your agent writes in your name, and every change it suggests to a manuscript is a tracked change the author approves. How you describe it is up to you.

Yes, when they are built from your client's own material, such as notes, interviews, recordings or drafts. We do not support books generated from a one-line prompt.
